Tito Vilanova steps down as Barcelona coach

Tito Vilanova is stepping down as Barcelona's coach following a recurrence of throat cancer, just a month before Lionel Messi and his teammates begin the defense of their Spanish league title.
Club president Sandro Rosell told a hurriedly called news conference at Barcelona's training facility on Friday that Vilanova will "follow a treatment" that will be "incompatible" with staying on as coach.
Rosell said that a new head coach would be named next week and that Barcelona was cancelling its first friendly of the preseason, scheduled to be played in Poland on Saturday against Lechia Gdansk.

Neymar to wear No.11 jersey for Barcelona

After speculations, Neymar has finally chosen to wear No.11 jersey for FC Barcelona. He had the option to choose between No.11- formerly used by Bayern Munich signing Thiago and the No.7 made available by David Villa’s departure to Athletico Madrid.

And the young Brazilian starlet has gone with No.11 jersey, which he used to wear in his former club Santos.

Now with Neymar already in the team, our next target should be a central defender. But who?..  Some big names being rumoured around are Thiago Silva, Mats Hummels, David Luiz and Laurent Koscielny.

Barcelona management has already expressed their love for Thiago Silva. And in my opinion the Brazilian will surely be a good addition to FCB. After some days of silence, Silva is thought to be back on Barcelona's radar.

With Mario Gotze already been moved to Bayern and Lewandowski on the verge of a transfer, Borussia Dortmund might not be interested in selling Mats Hummels. But after Silva, the young German would be the best fit.

Laurent Koscielny is the latest defender linked with a move to Camp Nou. Though there is less chance that this move could happen, Barcelona may consider him if their top two priority transfers fails.

And finally, another Brazilian, David Luiz. After the arrival of Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, the talk relating David Luiz to the Catalans gained strength.  I would prefer David Luiz above Koscielny. But this is my opinion, and what do you have to say about this?
